Buddypress DB queries

Hi,
I’m worried about the amount of Queries being sent to my SQL database through buddypress. How many is too many?
176 queries is what I am measureing now in 0.65 seconds.
Pageload time is ok, Host server resources is what worries me most.

I’m up to almost 700 queries per page. this is worrying me. can anyone advise?

I’m not sure what object caching is so I’m going to go read about it now.
Do you have any suggestions where I should start?
