Buddypress not working with Godaddy

I tried to install buddypress on my Godaddy hosted site, and it looks fine on the homepage, but when I try to click on activity or groups or forums an error comes up saying that these pages do not even exist. Please tell me that there is a way to get buddypress working on Godaddy!

Have you checked that everything under “Buddypress” > “Component Setup” in your WP backend is set and active?
Have you setup forums under “Buddypress” > “Forum Setup”?

Yes I have that stuff set up, but I got it t work. I just changed my permalinks from default to one of the other options…not sure why that would make a difference but it’s working!

This is a common setup error. Please see this link in the documentation for more information about permalinks: https://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/navigation-links-return-404-errors/

The documents may help you with other issues you may face as you work with BuddyPress.
