A suggestion: push notifications from BuddyPress to smartphones (iPhone, Android) would be a killer feature. Getting activity stream updates (user selects filter preferences) to smart phone really would really make a huge difference in engagement. There is already a plugin for WordPress for this purpose (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pushover-notifications/), but it would be a lot more useful for BuddyPress!
