BuddyPress Pages not displaying correctly in Hueman Theme

    Hi All

    I am new to BuddyPress and got stuck with buddypress pages not displaying correctly while using Hueman Theme. Hueman is a wordpress theme (http://alxmedia.se/themes/hueman/).

    Version of BuddyPress: 2.0.1
    Version of WordPress: 3.9

    The issues which I am facing are:

    1. The non-buddypress pages display correctly based on the layout chosen in the page options. The buddypress pages ignore the layout settings specified in page options and always gets displayed in the same layout format.

    2. The buddypress pages ignore the content even when the content is specified in the buddypress pages

    Hi All

    I read this article about theme compatibility and tried copying “/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/”. But It did not work.

    hi @ron-wills,

    first of, BuddyPress displays correctly with Hueman theme, even if this theme is not the easiest to use if you’re new to BP…. and Hueman. 😉

    Each BP component use his own page, for internaly purpose only and to fit to WP standards. But these component pages shoud only exist, but without any custom content or layout settings from Hueman.

    Suggest you read a bit about buddypress and how it works. Eg.

    Thanks Danbp for the reply.

    I think I confused the scenario a bit.

    Pages display correctly when I select sidebars/layout in the Theme Options for the various WP area i.e Page, Archive etc and everything appears as expected. However, when I try to assign a custom sidebar/layout on the individual page assigned to Buddypress, it does not override the settings in the Theme Options.

    My other pages work fine and I can assign any sidebar/layout to a specific page.

    But it does not work with Buddypress pages.
