BuddyPress pages not full width

I have read the page on theme compatibility but my theme does not have a full width template so I cannot modify a BuddyPress template.

I am using the Divi theme by ElegantThemes which is a very customisable and versatile theme, but unfortunately doesn’t allow for much leniency in the way of styling external, generated pages.

I can add custom CSS if required but I am unsure of how it will help.

All pages generated by BuddyPress currently are shunted to the side (I have nothing in my sidebar).

The URL to my development site is:

    areonline.co.uk/

Not sure if you are able to access the BuddyPress stuff without logging in but if you want you can register quickly and I will delete the user when this is all sorted.

    Thanks in advance.

A few options spring to mind:

    • Ask the theme author to make their templates BuddyPress-compatible
    • Create your own BuddyPress templates. See the Template Hierarchy article

Making a theme BuddyPress-compatible is something many theme authors would consider doing because it opens the door to 2,000,000+ BuddyPress sites, so it’s probably worth a shot asking.

What I have managed to do is force the sections to full width with CSS, but I am getting odd white lines on the generated pages, I have created a post to try and identify what this is, I think it is the sidebar, but have no way to remove it or even confirm that.
