Hello all,

I’m trying to build a social network for my collage where instructors can post articles and students read them. Students cannot post anything but they can comment below the articles. Using WordPress alone I accomplished this by giving instructors the Author role and students the subscriber role. But then I’ll have to install a lot of plugins for friend, timeline, chat …..

So, is their a way to use Buddypress and limit the posting to a certain user role ???

BuddyPress does not use WordPress Roles — it maybe be possible to integrate these into parts of BuddyPress but it’ll be extremely time-consuming as you’ll have to write a lot of code.

Isn’t their any plugin that will help me accomplish this ??
