I recently updated Buddypress plugin version to 2.6.1.1 in my multisite website. However, after the update, new users who register for new sites could not log in to their sites with their selected password after activation. They have to click the “forget password” and request for a password reset before in order to log in to their new sites.

I tested the Buddypress plugin 2.6.1.1 on a single site website, there is no login error. However, on multisites, there is login error for the first time log in after site activation.

To confirm that it is a Buddypress plugin bug, I did 2 set up of multisite on two new domains and tested the registration of new sites without Buddypress. It works fine. No password error. However, when I activated the Buddypress 2.6.1.1 plugin, the password error occurred consistently. I believe it is a bug in the version 2.6.1.1. I do not have such new sites login error before the plugin update.

Kindly look into this bug and advise as soon as possible.
