Can only install core and themes, fatal errors with all other components

Ok so I managed to get my site working with just the core installed and the themes work as well. However I can’t install any other components without getting fatal errors.

For example I get them when trying to add bp-xprofile files.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_core_setup_globals() (previously declared in /home/content/s/c/o/***/html/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core.php:90) in /home/content/s/c/o/***/html/bp-core.php on line 161

I’m on godaddy-linux. I have the wild card, deluxe hosting and a dedicated ip. Also using FF3 if that matters. Using WPMU 2.6.5. Permissions are also set to 755. Thanks!!

Looks like I got it dialed in. I started from scratch and reinstalled WPMU and double checked the chmod permissions. Everything seems to be working, next is to tackle the bbpress forum install.
