Can you theme bp-legacy/buddypress-functions.php?

    I’m trying to find out if it is possible to move the bp-legacy/buddypress-functions.php file to your theme directory so that it isn’t overwritten on each upgrade.

    Has anyone done that?

    Of course you can, and then instantiate your own theme_compat class if wished or just run from the root themes functions.php.
