Cannot log in as admin after activating BuddyPress

Have installed WordPress 2.9.2 All seems Ok and I can login as admin to administrator area. Have installed BuddyPress 1.2.1 When this is activated cannot login to admin area just arrives at Front page using default theme. Can only recover this by deleting activation in data base. (www.mysite.org/wp-login.php)

Have reinstalled without success.

Any ideas??

Sorry about that. Yet another senior moment!! Should have put in http://www.mysite.org/wp-admin.

Iâ€™m having the same problem, and it doesnâ€™t matter if I put wp-admin, it keeps telling me that I donâ€™t have permission to see this page. I just canâ€™t login like administrator. What can I do?

I had the same problem. I solved it by using FTP to delete the BuddyPress folder from the plugins directory on my host. Now I can login, but BP is gone.

Did you get any errors in your server log when you couldn’t get into wp-admin?
