Change / Disable BuddyPress Activation Email

Hi,

Is it possible to either change the content of the BuddyPress activation email or at least disable it without modifying any core files?

Note: I don’t want auto-activation, I just want to disable the email or remove the link in the email so that it forces members to wait until I manually activate their account.

I have tried the ‘Welcome Pack’ plugin but it doesn’t seem to work for the activation email any more.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
