Class values for each xprofile checkbox

So I have created a checkbox list for my user profiles which works great. But I would like to add individual icons for each checkbox value.
I could do this will css but would need individual class values for each checkbox. The are currently displaying as a list with a paragraph.
Is it possible to add a class that perhaps is either a unique number or the value of the checkbox label? That way I could select each individually in css and add an icon before.
Did try to add image code to label but is stripped.
