Cleaning old activity feeds, wires, etc…

I’d like to be able to delete old activity feeds and wires deleted if, for example after a month. I think this can be done manually from phpmyadmin, but I have no idea how. Is there anyone already doing this sort of thing?
It would be much easier to set cron jobs, but not sure if there’s easy way of doing that.
