Concerns about DB Queries – Buddypress 1.5

    Hi,

What should be a correct amount of db queries on a buddypress installation?
For example, for a group activity page I reach 200 queries since I have upgraded to BP 1.5. Before, with the same plugins I had only the half.
Is it normal or should I be concerned with this?

    Thanks for your help

I doubt any pages other than perhaps the forums* should get to 100 queries, let alone 200. If you can provide any evidence of which queries are popping up on the (in your opinion) worse page, I’ll take a look

I have just noticed that the Invites page in groups hits 368 queries. Otherwise, the group activity page seems also to be heavy.

You can use the guest account to check : visitor / madras, the number of queries is shown in the footer (it is ‘requĂȘtes’ actually in french)

Note : the widgets are cached with widget-cache plugin so they will not produce any queries.

    Thanks for your help @djpaul

Some new info : it is not related to the theme, I tried with bp-default, the results are approximately the same.

Anybody to compare number of queries on group activity page or a possible issue to solve?
    Thanks

To reduce the DB Queries, I use widget cache plugin and W3 Total Cache (almost all default settings) and from more than 200 queries on some group activity page, I now reach between 100 and 120 queries !
