contact forms not working in default buddy press theme

I’ve tried with both Contact Form 7 and Fast and secure contact form plugins and they both are not working on default theme. I tried post and page but it simply prints the special tag as is.

[contact-form 1 “Contact form 1”]

It is working only in text widget . Please let me know if there is a workaround?

Is there any other contact form plugin that is working? Actually these plugins are working on other themes just not with bp default theme.

Hi,

I’ve been searching across the forum and not found relevant topic or answer to my issue with contact form .Does anyone know why the contact forms are not working on bp default theme and how to fix it. Appreciate your help. thanks.

No, I don’t. I haven’t seen these plugins discussed with BuddyPress on this forum before, either.

You probably need to talk with the author to check if they are compatible with WPMU and BuddyPress.

Can you confirm if this plugin works without BuddyPress activated? It might be the more strict MU kses that’s blocking the form.

Thanks for the replies. Yup, both didn’t work with wpmu minus buddypress. I tried wp contact form which is working. thanks.

Fast and secure contact form was tested on WPMU and BP and works.

Perhaps your shortcode function is broken on default theme in your install?

I have had one report that shortcodes were not working, but after WP was reinstalled it started working.
