Hi all,
I have task to convert existing community from custom made script to BuddyPress (I’m also checking other community scripts/solutions).

I would like to know does some features of existing community can be applied to BP

1) Currently, members are divided into four Programmes and those Programmes have generations (like 2008, 2009, 2010,..). I have installed BP and there are Groups but without subgroups or something similar.

2) Members have different profile fields depending in which Programme participated (90% of fields are same). Is it possible to make something like this? Is it easier if only admin create users?

3) Community is almost 90% private and activity will be available only for logged in users. Also, some profile fields (Name, Surname, Group and Generation) are available for public view.

So, my biggest problems are different profile fields and more/deeper group levels.
I really like WP and BP, but not sure where to start cause I’m not that good familiar with BP.
