Converting parts of admin bar into page menus

hi, I stil have this recurring problem of being unable to convert one of the options form the buddypress admin menu into a normal menu..For example if I wanted the options of “settings” or “profile to be a menu, what would I have to do
In order to create menus on wordpress they ask for a http:// link. However, say if you wanted to make your profile a menu item, then it would have to be something like example.com/member/username/profile. This does not work. So I was thinking maybe you could use a bit of coding instead such as This would direct you to the activity, however once it’s entered in the wordpress menu links it does not work at all. If there was a way to make it work, then perhaps I could find the same bit of code for buddypress “profile” and attach it to the menus link.
