Cookie Error-message at Login ?

when I click on the Log-in-button at my BP-website, the Error-Message pops up:

ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

I actually do have Cookies enabled at my FireFox-browser and did not experience any Cookie-Error-messages at any other website, just at my own BP-website.

Where is this coming from and how to fix it ?

I am also having the same problem but i don’t even get the error i just get looped back to the main page , this isn’t good as most don’t even know what cookies are yet alone how to enable or disable them.

further more when a user navigates to another page suddenly they are logged in, if they go back tot he main page they look logged out but again navigating to another page puts them logged in again.

I need a work around, can i just remove this check? is it mandatory for buddypress to use cookies to function? what are the risks of disabling this feature?
