Create group button not showing?

I formerly had groups disabled in my BP install, but have since activated the ability to create and join groups. However the “Create a Group” button is missing from my live site. I can’t find any place where I can create groups, only a Group tab that shows me there are zero groups available. Any idea how I can get this feature to show for users?

I also have this problem and would love to know how to get the link from Admin->Groups->Create a Group to show up. You can access it by using yoursite.com/members/t{member}/groups/create that is; go to Admin->Groups and add /create to the url which will probably (does in my case) link to yourssite.com/groups/create/step/group-details/

Obviously this is not a good enough solution but it does show that the link is lurking there somewhere.

Is this in your groups index file? http://pastebin.com/w2bKSa0Z

nit3watch – Where is the groups index file located? It’s not within the /plugins/buddypress/bp-groups folder.

If you’re logged in, you can create a group from the Group directory page:
    example.com/groups

There should be a button that says “Create a Group”.

If you don’t see this button, there is a problem with your theme. nit3watch eludes to the following file – /groups/index.php – in your theme’s folder.
