I see that the function in the filter is called new_blog_post. How can I access that view a link?
Ray do you have any ideas on how that can be done?
What’s wrong with the default blogs directory?
eg. example.com/blogs
When I type that it just goes back to the main site. This is after a fresh install of wp and the new buddypress.
http://www.volkswagenstamps.com
I also don’t want to list out the name of the blogs but only the updates of the blogs. Does that make since?
*bump* Any more ideas on this Ray? I really need to get this one working.
You’re confusing the word blogs and posts. If you have a single blog, then you have a list of most recent posts.
ok sorry for sounding confusing. Yes I have one blog and I need a link to “all” the post made to that blog. Does that help?
well, that would be your main link, like http://your-site.com. or, if you set the option to show the activity on the frontpage, then you need to create a page, call it ‘blog’ for example, and set it to show your posts. That should be on nthe reading settings in the backend i think.
Write a new Page in the backend. Call it “blog”. Do not put any content in it & save.
Go to Settings – Reading. Find “Front page displays”. See where it says “Posts page:”? Check the drop down and pick the “blog” page you just made.
Save.
Go to the front of your site. there will be a tab up top that says “blog”. Click it and see your blog posts.
that worked!!! Thanks so much
