I’m actually experiencing problems with groups in my BP-Installation.

Facts:
WP 3.5.1, BP 1.6.4, theme: frisco for BP on a virtual host with php 5. Install access only via wp-ftp since apache and ftp-user aren’t same.

To me the groups seems to be very fragile implemented. I’ve been trough several test-installs and every time there is a point where I can’t create new groups anymore. Sometimes the 2nd step diappears, sometimes every step is fine, but actually a only edit the last group added before.

The plugins that brings them down are any, which touches login/page visibility process like Private Community for BP or Login-Recommended or so on… Sometimes it isn’t caused of that plugins but the fact that I didn’t created a group before installing group forums via bbPress.

Does anybody have a hint to share where I can dig in further? Any querys? Any directories that aren’t set or writable? Enabling DEBUG isn’t very useful since WP doesn’t twitter any debug-word 🙁
