Customizing Labels, Messages, and URLs

I want to change “Friends” to “Connections” throughout my site. I follwoed the directions here:
The changes occurred in some places but not others. For example, the (BuddyPress) Friends widget now shows up as (BuddyPress) Connections widget in the admin, but on the front end the widget title is still “[username]’s Friends”.
Any ideas?
