Deactivating buddypress creates WSOD

Hey. For some reason, deactivating buddypress on my site creates a WSOD. Not sure why. Haven’t changed anything new in the wp-config.php. I had some mu-plugins with custom code for BP but I moved them out of the mu-plugins folder.

    This makes no sense.

Issue still happens with 2019. Currently using X Pro.

    All current versions.

    Appreciate the quick answer 🙂

I have turned on Debug mode and it shows nothing.

Nonetheless, deactivating buddypress network-wide produces an issue.

    Examples –

    Case 1 –

    a) I am logged OUT
    b) Buddypress is deactivated
    c) site runs fine.

    Case 2 –

    a) I am logged IN
    b) Buddypress is deactivated
    c) WSOD

    Case 3 –

    a) I am logged IN
    b) Buddypress is activated
    c) I can see the Activity Feed

So, if i’m logged in *and* buddypress is network-deactivated, WSOD. Any idea?

Using current versions of BP & WP
