Dealing with 500 errors after BP deactivation

Hi, BP revealed “not the right choice” for my project.
So, I decided to deactivate (not uninstalled) the plugin.

Now, the problem: Google Webmasters tools gives 500 errors on all the old buddypress pages.

    For example:
    members/username/activity/

the same thing happen with groups.

I was wondering what are the right steps to let Google understand that those pages will never exist again, and it’s not a server error.

If you have links to good resources, I’ll appreciate.

    Thank you

You have to tell Google to de-list them then don’t you? From past experience on having to deal with pages needing de-indexing, there is a provision for telling google about page usrls to ignore or remove from it’s index, this is more a question for google webmaster tools though.

Odd they are 500 errors, and not 404’s. You may want to refresh your permalinks, incase something got mucked up in there.
