When I set up forums I used the “set up a new bbpress installation” — I would like to go back and delete all of the database information with it so that I can then go install a stand along bbpress forum.

When I go back to the “Forums Setup” and click “reinstall” it brings me back to the initial options. Does this completely delete the previous bbpress installation or is there more database entries to go delete?

Thanks for the link. I’m not 100% sure that the information I wanted was there, but I’m always learning.

So … I went into phpMyAdmin and dropped all the tables labeled “bb_” – will that eliminate everything from the previous bbpress installation?

Note: I do understand the integration differences and I just want to go to a separate bbpress installation from the buddpress.

If you’re not using group forums, just disable the forums component.

Then go about installing the external version of bbPress.
