Designing BuddyPress

    @jen2020

    Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I’m looking for a page/site that gives the greater picture on how to determine if BuddyPress is the best choice for my purpose (and am new to WordPress and web development).

    If I create a WordPress Multisite, does BuddyPress integrate with that, or do I need to choose one over the other? Are the plugins here different from the ones I see at WordPress (I would assume some might be compatible and others wouldn’t)? When I go to the s2Member plugin listed here, I see nothing about it being a BuddyPress plugin, just WordPress.

    It would be nice if there was a website that had a end-usage type flow chart that guided new users to the right set of software/plugins to get them started for their long term goals. Any suggestions for me?

    Thanks, Jen

    s2member works well with BuddyPress. When you use BP with multisite only one site on the network contains BP. However, any member of any site on the network is added to BuddyPress. BP consolidates blog postings from the entire multisite into a list.

    Alot of WP plugins work with BP. Search BuddyPlug in wordpress.org repo. Also bpinspire.com to see full sites using BuddyPress
