Difference between BP on WP versus BP on WPMU??

I understand that soon BP will be available for the “normal” WP installation. What are the basic differences between installing Buddypress on a normal WP installation versus installing Buddypress on WPMU?

    User blogs… that’s basically it.

    Question… R-A-Y.

Not sure if you know the answer… does that mean WPMU will go away and there will be only ONE version of WP with the option to have user blogs?

@r-a-y: thanks! Beyond user blogs, that is the biggest difference?

@armandmorin: I understand that the soon-to-be-released version of WP 3.0 should merge the WPMU with WP. I might be mistaken on that timeline, but the latest I heard showed this to be true.

WP 3.0 merges the functionality of WPMU into standard WP.

BP 1.3 will support WP 3.0:

With WPMU, you can use some nifty BP plugins like BP Group Wiki, BP Group Blog and BP Classifieds. These plugins do not work with the standard WP version of BP.

And wordpresschina, BuddyPress works on single WP installs right now.

@Andrea_r: really?? cool :) ! How is it working? Are there many problems pre-3.0? If it seems like not so many problems, I will install it tomorrow and starting really testing it out.
