Disable new blogs creation for new accounts?

I’ve looked everywhere for this with no luck even though I know it’s been covered!

Any way to not create a blog when new users register and instead allow them to create new blogs after they have created account if they so choose?

    Any feedback appreciated!

wpmu back end > Site Admin > Options

    Allow new registrations

Only logged in users can create new blogs.

I want my users to be able to create blogs att signup, but I want “Just a username, please” to be checked by default rather than “Gimme a blog!”. Unfortunately, I have no found any filter for this. Any ideas other than a minor edit to the relevant core file?

My best guess would be just to edit the core file.

But I know, I know.. editing the core files could be dangerous when upgrading.

Not really dangerous, just that I’d have to edit it again afterwards…

Well dangerous is maybe a little exaggerated – but u know what I mean :)

@Burt: Thanks, I tried that setting already but when users try to register at my register page they get, “You must first login, and then you can create a new blog. ” …. So they aren’t allowed to register a new account…. any ideas?
