BuddyPress.org

I’ve just installed BuddyPress and have been tinkering with it for a while now, and this has been bugging me a lot: I can’t seem to find out how to turn off the profile linking. I edited my own profile, and a ton of links were made, linking to member searching. There doesn’t seem to be an “easy way” to turning it off, which I had hoped there would be. Does anyone have a solution to this? I’ve looked around the forums and the codex, but there doesn’t seem to be a straightforward answer to this.
