Display Group Meta Elsewhere on Page

Hello, I recently was using this:
    http://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/how-to-edit-group-meta-tutorial/

And its really great, and simple to follow, but I need to display some of the meta elsewhere on the page. I tried to echo the field that I created, but it doesn’t show up.. only in the actual meta area will it be visible.

Is there a different way to write that ‘plugin’ to show stuff in a different area? I just need to be able to echo it outside of the description area.

Yes, I saw that. You’ll have to excuse my ignorance…

I’m not a php guy. I’m really just a designer that can get by editing and frankensteining things together. How exactly do I use the get_groupmeta? some direct instruction would be helpful.

    Thanks!

    Shameful, but BUMP…

I’m having an issue, now that I’ve tried to do it on my own.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare groups_get_groupmeta() (previously declared in /home/indiefo/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-groups/bp-groups-functions.php:893) in /home/indiefo/public_html/wp-content/themes/bp-indiefolio/proj_sb.php on line 9

So, I guess my new question is, how to I redeclare a function? or can I even? How do I display the meta without this error?
