I have buddypress (1.8.1) and a plugin version of bbpress (2.4) installed on to my WordPress (3.6.1) blog site. I’m trying to stylize the header (member-header.php) of the user’s profile page in a way that displays a counter for the total number of bbpress forum post made by a member. I’ve tried using echo bbp_user_reply_count($user_id); , but that only returns 0.

Is there anyway to get the total number of bbpress forum post and display it in a user’s profile? Or is that data not available outside the bbpress forum?
