Displaying Notifications Tab out of admin bar

    Hey guys,

    I’d like to disable the activity notifications tab that currently resides in the WP admin bar for each user and display it elsewhere on the site (i.e my own custom navigation bar).

    I found this old thread which seemed to do exactly what I was after but the code snippet from modemlooper has since been deleted – https://buddypress.org/support/topic/how-to-implement-user-notifications-to-template-without-admin-bar/

    Could somebody please point me in the right direction and please bear in mind that i’m a BP newbie 🙂

    I should add that i’ve got a part of it working by echoing the following where I want it to appear but it’s obviously just echoing the numerical count and I want the full functionality of the BP notification tab with links and descriptions of the items.

    echo bp_notifications_get_unread_notification_count( bp_loggedin_user_id() );

    P.S. I Think I posted this in the wrong forum, could an admin please move it to a more relevant one if possible and I promise to be more careful in the future 😉
