Do not convert URLs into hyperlinks

If I post a URL in the activity stream it is automatically converted into a hyperlink. Is there a way to stop this?

thats becuase oEmbed is now inbuilt in wp core…this might help https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-embeds/
