DONATE TO SEE BP MESSAGES

    Hi
    we are configuring a new buddypress installation and want to insert a process whereby the buddypress profile owner cannot view the first message in a new message trail until they have made a donation payment. (Outside of the bp environment the payment system will send an instant notification to the bp site when the donation has been made). So what we need to know is:

    a) how to insert a block on the profile owner opening up the first message in a new message trail (instead incorporating a message and link to the payment site).

    b) opening up the new message trail) once the payment notification has been received by the system. (The payment notification can be configured as required)

    Aside from this one area bp configuration does pretty much everything we need so its been developed without the need for php expertise (which we dont have).

    So a member has to make a separate donation to see each new message trail?

    This will require the hiring of a buddypress developer to create a custom plugin.

    that might work for this project. there are a number of extensions (plug ins/add ons etc) we are going to need as we broaden scope. how would you normally set this kind of arrangement up?

    Do you mean how do I work with clients or how would I approach writing the plugin?

    we have a number of add ons. We can specify them pretty tightly over the course of coming weekss as they arise. So bearing that in mind both questions apply Shane.
