Duplicates in XX_bp_xprofile_data

Dear all,

I was checking the tables in the database regarding the Extended Profile that we are asking the members of our website to fill, and realised that there are duplicates in the data table.
How can this happen? Should I create a script outside the plugin to delete duplicates and just make sure that the last one stored will remain?
If I delete the duplicates, will they keep on appearing?

I just wonder, because we have over 200k users, and I’m trying to optimize the database, therefore I’m going throughout all the tables checking for errors from the plugins.
I found this one, is this behaviour normal?

Just to be clear, you are able to update a profile from a user and actually see, after the update, duplicate information in the database table?

Thank you for asnwering.

I just checked by editing my own profile and another profile I have as a subscriber.
Yes, when we edit, there are for example there are two rows with field_id 1, for the same user.
With this I mean that maybe one is edited, but the other doesn’t disappear.
I don’t know if I just should delete the oldest of this, and keep the newest id for each field_id and user_id.
It’s not only one user that I have duplicated content, it seems there are quite a few :-/
