Dynamic URL link for widget buttons

    Hi,

I need to grab some of the dynamic URLs for various BP features, such as a new gallery page I’ve set up, messages, even just the profile page and, as there are no shortcodes, how would I go about getting this and putting them into a button widget?

OR do I just need to get the link and style it as a button?

I don’t want to mess around with template files and go into the code too much and, to be frank, it’s a bit old-fashioned to have to do that with WordPress!

    Thanks

Have you looked at https://www.google.com/url?q=https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-profile-shortcodes-extra/ This allows you to create BP profile links to any page and call them in a shortcode, maybe that could help?

Thanks for your reply @venutius .

I’ve looked at, and installed, that plugin, but I can’t work out how to use the shortcode links as a URL for a button? Also I need to create links for URLs that aren’t listed on that plugin.

Can you help me manipulate the code?

I’ve added the following to Shortcodes Extra:

    [bpps_profile_url text="Press Me" button="button"]

You can specific the profile page to use using the profile_page="" attribute, to select different profile pages, such as profile_page="messages"

Do you want to give it a try, see if it does what you want it to?
