Edited posts appear in activity stream

We use wordpress as cms for a large content based site. We recently integrated buddypress.

The problem we are facing is that is a user ‘edits’ a post anywhere on the site, it appears in the activity stream as ‘X wrote a new post….’

This should not be happening. How can we fix this?

Until very recently, that is exactly what was intended to happen. What version of BuddyPress are you on?

I can understand that new posts appear in the activity stream but even if I correct a typo in an old post, it appears in the activity stream …and that also as a ‘new post’!

Yup! Receiving the same issue. Or can it be replaced by ‘X updated a new post…’ ?
