Embedded webpages on activity feed?

    Hi,

    I’ve made a website using WordPress with Buddypress installed and for some reason when someone posts a link to a webpage on their activity or a group the webpage gets embedded into the feed? Is this standard behavior or a known bug and does anyone know how to resolve it?

    I’ve tried resetting the theme to TwentyTwelve as well as plugins besides Buddypress but it still occurs.

    I’m also having an issue with the Buddypress Wall plugin which is causing the cover photo for profiles not to appear, if anyone also knows why this might be happening I’d appreciate any help in resolving it.

    While doing this, you’ll see a quoted page title, not the whole page content. So guess it is standard behave.

    Question related to third party plugin should be asked on plugin support. That said, it’s a known bug who remain unanswered since 7 mounth…

    P.S I am running the latest versions of both WordPress and Buddypress.

    Thanks @danbp, I suppose I’ll have to either figure out the Cover photo issue or leave it. Re the Quoted page title linking, in my case it is displaying a portion of the actual website, see example here:

    Any ideas why?

    Maybe a theme setting or function ? What if you deactivate BP Wall ?
