Enforce Minimum Age

In the Extended Profiles Age there is an option “Define Minimum age”. I entered 18 but I notice that the selector still gives me all options right up until 2016.
I don’t want to just remove these years because they will be needed as time goes by but how do I make them unavailable except for those who are over 18?
