Error in uploading avatar

    When I upload any phto to my profile it gives me following error. I have even tried several different sizes, but every time it gives me one or another error

    Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /var/www/mymusite.com/httpdocs/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php on line 236

    The first thing I would do is try uploading a clean version of that file (bp-core-avatars.php) and see if that helps.
