Error in uploading avatar/photo

When I upload any photo to my site profile, http://www.gistmelive.com. it gives me following error.
Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /var/www/mymusite.com/httpdocs/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php on line 236
I have even tried several different sizes, but every time it gives me one or another error
