Hello, I am trying to add additional Extended User Profile Fields in the backend but they dont show up on my profile page. I am using BuddyPress 4.1.0 as well as Buddy Boss Boss Theme, Wall plugin etc. The primary Profile fields are visuable on my Profile page members/user/profile/ but if I try to add a new field group and add a new field it doesnt show up on my page. MY WordPress version is 5.0.2 and all other plugins are also updated to the latest version. I installed Twenty Nineteen Theme by WordPress but still the same issue. My website is: https://wushantcm.com

So if I understand you correctly, you are not seeing another tab beside Base on the profile page. Which BP Theme are you using? does it fail with either BP theme?

I am seeing different tabs I can add as other profile fields in the backend but they dont appear on my profile page. I am using the Boss Theme of Buddy Boss. All other functions are working fine.

Thanks, have you overloaded any of the BP template files? located in themes/yourchildtheme/buddypress

not that I am aware of.

What I just did is a fresh install of the buddypress plugin, but the problem existed before and changed nothing after the fresh install. That was installed by FTP and I overwrite the existing buddy press plugin.

I’ve just looked at a test server and I’m getting the same issue. If I edit the profile I can see the extra tab and edit the profile fields it contains, but when I view the profile it only shows the Base profile group.

Would you mind rasing this as a bug on trac?

Exactly. Ok fine you can go ahead and add it to your list. Thank you for your assistance. Will I be noticed once there is a solution or?

That’s odd, I’ll raise it for you and post the ticket here.

    Hi there,

Not sure if you are tracking this but we’ve been unable to replicate the issue. I rechecked my system and now I’m seeing the second group I created, for some reason I was ecpecting tabs but instead the second profile group info was displayed below the Base tab info.

    Hi there,
thank you for getting back to my request. I am following this issue. I just tried again to add new fields to a profile group but they are not showing. It is correct that they show below the other profiel fields, but they wont appear, just a part of it, but not complete as I have it in my backend dashboard.

just answered by mail to your request, not sure if you recieve the screenshot attachments. how could I post them here?

    No, that didnt worked.
Ok like this: I added next to the primary, a new field called Profile fields: You can find it here: https://wushantcm.com/members/timvukan/profile/
In the backend I added to the field group:
    -My Name:
    -Profession
    -Working Experience
    but, only the field
-Profession is visuable in the frontend on the profile page

And you’ve set the visibility of this field to be visible to all?

    @wushan-tcm

    Member Types: YES

This field should be available to:

    Students YES
    Teachers YES
Users with no member type YES

    Visibility: Set to Everyone YES

    Allow members to override YES

I’d try switching to BP Nouveau, then a default theme and then deactivating the other plugins to see if that changes it.
