Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_user_meta() While installing locally

I am trying a local install and getting this error – Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_user_meta()
whenever I try to activate this plugin.

The complete error is `backticks`Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_user_meta() in wampwwwwordpresswp-contentpluginsbuddypressbp-forums.php on line 530`backticks`

If i cant install, how do I test ?

No need to get snippy, gee whiz.

The error suggests that you are using a version of WordPress less than 3.0. You say the latest version of 3.0 – what does that mean? The latest version of WP is 3.0.4
