Fatal Error Upon Activation

    I am getting this fatal error when I try to activate:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_site_option() in /var/www/vhosts/BLOGGINGGAMERS.COM/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php on line 17

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    I am using WordPress 2.7 and Buddypress 1.0
