Hi everyone,

I didn’t want to include this in my last topic as it is really doesn’t relate in any way. My question is…does anyone have any suggestions for writing “Forum Rules”? Is there like a “standard” rules template that one could modify to better accommodate your site?

I want to create a set of “professionally” designed rules and I also want to make sure that I don’t leave anything out…legally. I have looked over the rules of several different forums and they seem relatively similar. Of course, I am aware that each and every forum will have it’s own subject matter that will need to be addressed, however, what I am interested in knowing is if there are any items that are:

Absolutely must haves for ANY forum

Items that are legally necessary as rules for ANY forum

Is there a pre-written forum rules “template” that can be “tweaked” to fit ANY forum?
