Forum Says “Replied” on second post instead of “said”

for my forums what I would love to happen, is on the first post that someone makes, it says %started% instead of said.

And then when somebody replies, I would love for it to say %replied% instead of said.

    How do you do this?

    Thanks!

Hey!!!! A reply! That woke me up. Thanks Boone, and I did read the page, but thats not quite what I am after….

On the forums, it says member “said” time since%

On the second reply or the thread, and from there on out I want it to say “replied” and not “said”

Just on the first post I want it to say “said”

You’ll have to write a conditional in your theme’s groups/single/forum/topic.php that will echo ‘started’ when the post is the first one in the topic and otherwise says ‘replied’. You should be able to get the post’s position out of the $topic_template->topic global.
