I’m using BuddyPress 1.1 Beta. In forums, when I write a new post (from a group), it appears in the list accessible to all members. However, when I write a new post and make it a sticky, it vanishes – readable only in that one specific group.

If you clear the sticky bit, the post again appears in the general list of messages available to all forum users.

That’s the way it is working currently. Stickies are basically excluded from the directory loop at the moment while Andy figures a way to handle them properly. There’s nothing wrong with your installation.
