Forum topic delete doesn't delete "activity" feeds

When I delete a forum topic, it doesn’t delete the activity feed associated with it. I’ve created a test topic in one of the groups I have made and immediately deleted it. The forum is deleted but not the activity. It still says “….created topic….” in my activity feed on my profile as well as the site wide activity feed.

    another problem…

When you create a group/forum and you set the visibility so that people must request to join – that group/forum won’t be visible in the forums page. When you create a topic in that group/forum it adds the tags associated with that topic in the forums page but when someone clicks on that tag, it won’t get the results because the group is set to “request to join”.

Is there a way not to show the tags of a group that is private in the forums page?

I too am having this issue. Deleting a forum topic doesn’t trigger the Activity feed deletion.

    Any solutions?

Which version of BP? This will be fixed in 1.2 as I think it’s just a missing or incorrectly named action.

    WPMU 2.8.6

    BP 1.1.3

I just ran the installer right from Buddypress to install bbpress. Anyway to fix this or point me to where 1.2 could be downloaded from?

Thanks James for the reply. I’m also using WPMU 2.8.6 and BP 1.1.3.

I’ve tried doing a reinstall on a second server of mine but the problem persists.

How do you delete a forum topic – any way besides accessing the database?

    edit: (nevermind, found it)

This is quite a big problem. I deleted a user account but it didn’t delete the forum posts the user made. It only deletes his name in the feed but the content of the topic is still on the forum for the specific group. Now if it was a spammer(s) you would have to filter through all the groups/forums that they created and replied on topics and delete them. This will be quite tedious as you can’t search for the user in the database and delete all the topics related to that user because his name is deleted but not the content. You would have to manually filter through everything and I don’t think it will work.

John James Jacoby – You mentioned

“Which version of BP? This will be fixed in 1.2 as I think it’s just a missing or incorrectly named action. “

Where is this action so that I can insert it into my BP 1.1.3 installation? Is it simple?

I get “The page you were looking for was not found.” when trying to delete activity. I get a confirmation “Are you sure” but when I click OK, I get that standard bp missing page message.

    Any guidance appreciated.

    So…yeah…anyone?

I’m seeing the same thing, and this is a BIG PROBLEM. And I’m running single-user WP 2.9.1 with BP 1.2-rc latest trunk (Sunday night).

Deleting the user doesn’t delete their Forum topics and replies like it should — the title and content of each post is left intact — it just says “Deleted User” in place of the user name.

Please help! See above, where John James Jacoby said one month ago,

Which version of BP? This will be fixed in 1.2 as I think it’s just a missing or incorrectly named action.

Yet we are up to v1.2-RC2, and issue still persists. Is a fix in the works? Admin should be able to delete a user and have the option to remove ALL their posts from the site, whether they be blog comments, Group activity stream posts, or Forum topics and replies.

This issue is related to this topic I started about Admin and Moderator abilities to delete Forum topics and have them be removed from all places on the site: https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/forum-user-roles-and-moderator-ability-bp-12-rc2-wp-291

I have confirmed that in the final 1.2 release of BP, edits and deletions of topics and topic replies in the Forum are now propagated to the Activity stream. Thanks for fixing this problem.
