If groups is disabled, the Forums link doesn’t go anywhere. Shouldn’t it simply be hidden? Maybe there’s a reason behind this?

It should hide itself, if it doesn’t, just make a child theme and edit the menu.

Just tried a brand new install and the same thing is happening. Upon clicking on Forums, it redirects to Home.
