Friend Requests Disabled

    Getting email from subscribers reporting that they cannot make friend requests or respond to friend requests in Buddy Press. Is there a switch to turn this capability on?

    Hi @mdesouza,

    There is no switch for that. But each user can allow/disallow some email notice from within his profile.
    your-site/members/USERNAME/settings/notifications/

    1) you have to activate Friends Connection and Notification component.
    2) Activate pretty permalinks or re save the present settings. Allways good to do after updates or heavy modifications or plugin (+/-) management

    Test also the behave with one of WP’s default theme if you use a third party theme.
